Every Wednesday at 12PM PST, Facebook and Twitter erupt into open combat as fans talk out "who'd win" in a battle between two well known geek-worthy parties, one starting every half hour. Wikipedia links are included to refresh memories on what everybody is capable of, and then it comes down to fans and the fight! Winners are listed in bold. #whodwin Wednesday!

Black Adam vs. Thor To start? Go big or go home: Black Adam versus The Mighty Thor.

  • I cast my vote for Black Adam. He is far superior in just about every way to Goldilocks. Also, being evil and having no regard for innocent lives give him an edge over Thor.
  • Both of these guys use the lightning. Tough call. Because of his training as a warrior, I may have to roll with Thor.
  • Thor. Hands down. Black Adam draws power from the gods. Thor IS a god. No contest.
  • Thor isn't as brutal as Black Adam, IMO. Black Adam doesn't care about saving innocent bystanders. He'd rather drop a building on them. Thor may be a god but I've never been all that impressed with him compared to other heroes. If anything. Thor would have to out think him.
  • Black Adam. Both have similar abilities with one exception Thor draws much of his strength & abilities from objects that can be easily dislodged or removed. Thor is quasi-immortal — Black Adam IS immortal. And the fact that Black Adam, if given the sole opportunity of a one on one fist-to-cuffs with Superman, can actually kick his a$$ — Black Adam smokes Thor.
  • Adam has multiple gods, true, but he's only getting a tiny fraction of their powers or, even more on point, only one aspect of each. So he can't be as strong as Thor. Also, while most people know Thor is the god of thunder, they forget he is also a battle god. So, again, on any battlefield with a NON-battle god, he has an edge. Put him up against Orion. That's a fair fight. Adam is a light heavy weight. Thor is a Heavy Weight.
  • Adam is NOT immortal. He's a mortal man with powers that are GIFTS from the gods. Thor actually KNOWS Heru and Amon. It would a simple matter for him to ask his buddies to withdraw their gifts, y'know, god to god? Thor is immortal unless killed. And Thor doesn't draw strength from anything (unless he's wearing his armor and belt). Even naked, he can command the storms. He focuses his powers THROUGH Mjolnir, not the other way around. And Thor's powers are not limited to earthly storms (though a lot of modern writers have forgotten this). He can control cosmic storms as well. It's no contest.
  • Odin hacked into Geoff's Facebook account! :D
  • And Busiek got it wrong. No way in hell does Superman beat Thor in a one-to-one fight.
  • It still took Superman AND Capt. Marvel to beat [Black Adam] in the animated movie.
  • Neither Superman nor Captain Marvel is a warrior. They're both heroes. There's a difference. Adam is fantastically more ruthless than both of them. THOR, on the other hand, was battling frost giants and demons FOR FUN as a teenager. In nearly every fight you've ever seen between Thor and a normal villain, he's got to keep himself from just killing the guy. Superman and the Captain would NEVER kill someone or even contemplate it. They're like boxers vs. a Navy Seal when they fight Adam. But Thor is the same as Adam in that regard and, again, he's been doing it for tens of thousands of years. Adam can't be older than 4K and most of that time he was imprisoned. Thor would wipe the floor with him.
  • I hate to say it but I think Odinson takes it on the basis of the mgic word weakness and he ain't got no hammer.

Hotly contested and came down to the wire.

Cassandra Cain vs. Snake-Eyes For the second fight, Cassandra Cain faced off against Snake-Eyes from the G.I. Joe team in a silent showdown.

  • Cass. Snake-Eyes would giver some trouble but she'd win.
  • Snake Eyes would hand her her liver. He's had way more training than Batgirl. Not to mention the awesome katana!
  • LOL. No. Cass was trained by the greatest fighter on Earth, Shiva. No one can beat Shiva except Cass. Not even Batman. She not only has the superior training to Snake-Eyes but she has a superpower he doesn't. Snake Eyes is the best ninja in the world. Cass eats ninjas for breakfast on the way to a real fight.
  • Cassandra defeated Lady Shiva and she comes from a family of assassins and trained by the Bat. Cassandra wins easily … Cassandra killed her first victim before she was 10.
  • #1 There are better fighters than Shiva. #2 Snake Eyes has had military and martial arts training that surpasses what Batman could teach anyone IMO. #3 Batgirl was never that awesome to begin with.
  • The fact that she's been trained by some of the most respectable & dangerous hand to hand combatants in the world in addition to this: "but from her cognitive functions (the result of her idiosyncratic upbringing) that enables extraordinary feats of coordination as well as perceiving minute changes in an opponent's movements and body language." Snake-Eyes takes home a few more facials scars to think about.
  • it's not a fair contest. snake eyes has no super powers. he can't possibly beat Cass. even without her own weapon he's outclassed.
  • Cassandra may not be the best fighter in DC but training from her father (a known master assassin), Shiva, and Batman makes her a beast. Her father used her on his missions… That says a lot.
  • Then how does Batman seem to beat everyone, supernatural powers or not?
  • He's got tech on his side
  • 1. Karate Kid. 2. Shiva. 3. Cass. 4. Wonder Woman. 5. Bronze Tiger. 6. Batman/Richard Dragon. 7. Black Canary. 8. Nightwing. 9. Robin. 10. Huntress?
  • You know that Bruce is really lucky most of the time and has to think his way out of things. One reason he ends up like Darth Vader in Kingdom Come.
  • because of poor writing and fanboyism. Batman should have to sweat to win some of the fights he wins but, of course, that would crush the little dreams of some people who don't really understand how heroes work.
  • Batman is awesome. But he's still just a human being.
  • Cassie over Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow.

Bullseye vs. Deadshot Double your villains, double your fun! Who's gonna be on target, Bullseye or Deadshot?

  • In the words of Deadpool, "Bullseye never misses." Bullseye can stab Deadshot to death from over a mile away with paperclips … Bullseye wins by throwing a pistachio down Deadshot's windpipe from three blocks away …
  • Bullseye could kill you with a fig newton! The End! As I said before. Bullseye has single handedly killed a good chunk of the Marvel Universe.
  • They're both "incapable" of missing. Shoot, even when a hero forces a miss, both seem to still hit what I they. In the end, I give to it Deadshot because unlike Bullseye, Deadshot doesn't care if he lives or dies. Indeed, Deadshot has a suicidal streak in him. Bullseye has some sense of self-preservation. Deadshot does not and that acceptance of death gives him the edge. Plus, costume so much cooler.
  • Bullseye. Deadshot needs guns. Bullseye can kill you with a grain of rice.
  • I'm calling for Deadshot. Who also doesn't need bullets. He can pretty much kill with anything as well.
  • I say tie — too evenly matched.

Solomon Grundy vs. Juggernaut For the weekly final villain showdown, fresh off of beating up Colossus last week, Solomon Grundy takes on The Juggernaut

  • Magic must defeat Magic!!! ::Coughs:: Sorry. :D Grundy would be pounded into a mass of goo by Juggy. Juggy may not be the brightest bulb on the tree but he gets the job done.
  • I may have to give this to Grundy. He's stronger and Seems to be able to ignore pain. Not to mention, Grundy cannot die.
  • C'mon man- nothin can stop the Jug. Grundy would keep coming back but he end up with a well whooped a$$ every time.
  • Grundy is really a jumped up zombie. Unless he could get Juggy's helmet off, which isn't easy. He'd be blasted into kibbles and bits.

Thanks to participants Geoffrey Thorne, Carl Dancy, Khalil Asadullah, Kimberly Moore, Jason Smith and Aaron Duran.
